Thanks to the legal value attributed by the simplification bill since February 2019, in Italy it is possible to certify the intellectual property on all the artifacts or product created and shared digitally through registers in WREP blockchain.
Photographers, designers, editors, journalists, directors, bloggers will be able to certify their work and take advantage of this certification in the judicial phase to defend their intellectual property by registering with the WREP Register.

Web Press Media Reporter Association


1. Purpose

The Association WEB PRESS MEDIA REPORTER APS is dedicated to advancing the Web Reporter profession by providing or supporting independent certifications, building an international network of professionals and setting quality standards for them.
The main purpose of the Association is to promote freedom of the press and freedom of expression, not only in an abstract way but with specific and concrete actions in every situation, always respecting the law.
The Association WEB PRESS MEDIA REPORTER APS gives credibility to Web Reporters and is also committed to offering its members the tools and resources necessary for their careers.
WEB PRESS MEDIA REPORTER ASSOCIATION APS offers web reporters the opportunity to register with independent registers, such as the WREP - Web Reporter European Blockchain Register - for which the Association has entered into an exclusive agreement, in order to ensure support for the protection of copyright, giving credit and recognition to the profession of web reporter. The registration and maintenance of the status of "associate" of the WEB PRESS MEDIA REPORTER APS WEB PRESS ASSOCIATION is conferred exclusively to web reporters who have met the requirements and have demonstrated a thorough knowledge of the purpose and code of ethics of the association.
The association WEB PRESS MEDIA REPORTER APS is specifically committed to:
- Support freedom of expression
- Support copyright protection
- Develop the profession of web reporter
- Establish a code of ethics and professional standards for web reporters
- Give formal recognition to authors through valid registers, such as WREP

2. Vision

The profession of Web Reporter is, in recent years, an integral part of information and the press. Every registered Web Reporter, as a member of the Association, will have the opportunity to obtain a recognition of their profession together with the protection of copyright (e.g. texts/articles/photos/videos) and the opportunity to grow professionally their network of relationships.

3. Mission

WEB PRESS MEDIA REPORTER APS exists to promote the global protection of the rights of the heart, recognition and advancement of the Web Reporter profession.


ETHIC CODE


A. Foreword

The Code of Ethics of the Association WEB PRESS MEDIA REPORTER APS describes the fundamental values and ethical standards of conduct that all members are required to observe in accordance with the purpose of the Association. The Code of Ethics is considered automatically accepted and countersigned when a web reporter joins the Association. Any behavior contrary to the ethical principles described in this Code of Ethics will result in the cancellation of the status of member after the decision of the President and/or Executive Board of the Association. Such decision can be reasonably appealed to the same Board that, after examining the application, will take the final decision.
The Code of Ethics of the Association applies to Associate Professionals when they represent themselves as such, in any kind of professional or personal interaction and acting in their different roles as bloggers, photographers, video and audio web reporters; in the same way it is considered binding for the Staff and for the Management of the Association.

B. Fundamental values

We say YES to integrity, honesty, reliability, collaboration, constructive confrontation, transparency, courage, responsibility, openness.
We define and demonstrate standards of excellence for the qualification and recognition of web reporters through the effective contribution of highly qualified members and high level technological solutions.
We believe in innovation and technology as a means of growth and challenge of the status quo. We consider the connection and social interaction in our community an added value for each member and for the growth of the web reporter profession.
We exist to contribute to social growth through knowledge and to support the creation of a fairer society through respect for people, respect for diversity and the cultural struggle against all forms of discrimination, spreading ideas and projects of social inclusion.

C. Principles of behavior (inspired by the general guidelines defined by UNESCO)

1. We are hostile to plagiarism. Associate web reporters are required to always cite sources and never plagiarize the work of another.
2. It is our primary duty to protect the identity and privacy of anyone who provides us with information and to maintain high standards of security of our digital systems, files and data through reliable procedures.
3. We believe that people and individuals have the right to gain an objective picture of reality through accurate and complete information and to express themselves freely through various means of culture and communication.
4. The main task of the reporter is to respect the right to true and authentic information through an honest dedication to objective reality, in which facts are conscientiously reported in their proper context, highlighting their essential connections and without causing distortion, with the due deployment of the creative capacity of the reporter, so that the public can receive adequate content to facilitate the formation of an objective and objective, accurate and complete view of facts and events and contexts.
5. Information in journalism is understood as a social good and not a commodity, which means that the reporter shares responsibility for the information transmitted and is therefore responsible not only to those who control the media, but ultimately also to the general public, including various social interests. The social responsibility of the reporter requires that he or she acts in all circumstances in accordance with a personal ethical conscience.
6. The social role of the reporter requires that the profession maintains high standards of integrity, including the right of the reporter to refrain from working against his or her beliefs or revealing sources of information, and the right to participate in the decision-making process of the media in which he or she is employed. The integrity of the profession does not allow the reporter to accept any form of corruption or promotion of private interests contrary to the general welfare, nor to allow personal prejudice or other interests, benefits, gifts, threats to distort the objective essence of the facts. Reporters' attitudes should be open and free without specific warnings of ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability or impairment, unless such issues are essential for accurate reporting.
7. Likewise, it is part of professional integrity to respect intellectual property and, in particular, to refrain from plagiarism.
8. The nature of the profession requires that the reporter promotes public access to information and public participation in the media, including the right of correction or rectification and the right of reply.
9. An integral part of the journalist's professional standards is respect for the right to privacy and human dignity, in accordance with the provisions of international and national law on the protection of the rights and reputation of others, which prohibit libel, slander, slander and defamation.
10. The professional activity requires attention in order to create and maintain full confidence in the integrity and dignity of the image of the role of web reporter in any form: written, audio, video and photographic.
11. Reporter represents the universal values of humanism, especially peace, democracy, human rights, social progress and national liberation, respecting the distinctive character, value and dignity of each culture, as well as the right of each people to freely choose and develop their political, social, economic and cultural systems.


PERSONAL STATEMENT
The undersigned declares to have read and understood the meaning and purpose of the Web Press Media Reporter Association, its mission, vision, fundamental values and the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. I hereby declare that I undertake to comply with its requirements from now on as long as I am a member of the association. I also declare that I am aware that the association may immediately revoke my membership if I adopt a conduct contrary to the fundamental values and the Code of Ethics mentioned above.
